Apparently The Colonel has moved through cyber space but I’m stuffed as I can’t tell what has happened.
Anyway, Dan continues to provide excellent translations of techno-gobbledegook for such backward folk as me. Which is good because as The Colonel moves on to pastures new The Gimp will need to become the Super Hero handling [...]

The Bolts have drafted again, and it appears to be another decent class.
AJ Smith has signed football players with character, rather than athletes which has served the team well over the past few drafts. Again, there hasn’t been an influx of big name free agents as AJ builds through the draft rather than by [...]

How much fun is this particular lottery?
Loads of young men, some with brains, some without, some with attitude, some with character.
Millions of bucks spent evaluating talent and commenting on talent and commenting on comment.
Can’t wait to see how this pans out and who turns into the superstars and, more intriguingly, who turns into the next [...]

Just got back from walking the dog (greyhound, retired, lovely nature unless you are a cat, fast as a fast thing) and was thinking about how lovely the woods hve been this year. Loads of snowdrops, then a brief burst of celendine and now bluebells by the thousand.
It’s a pleasure to walk through and [...]

The clamour to make this a National Holiday goes on, which is great because you can never really have enough holiday can you?
It seems to me that the increased awareness of the day by the licensed trade is already well on the way to making it a holiday, even if we don’t get the real [...]

I’ve just come inside after a day of wresting the garden into shape.
I’ve got cuts, gouges and scratches over hands and arms. And the top of my head.
Which is another thing. My clippers at home are clearly set differently to the ones at the barbers. Normlly a #1 guard leaves a nice [...]

It looks like the move long awaited is happening, so it’s all change from the 18th May all being well.
No paperwork as yet but it’s coming together and the world is a much brighter place.
For those who have insight, thanks for the support - and especially the cartoon. It makes life so much more [...]

… Tesco’s Finest biscuit range. They are possibly the finest biccies on the market - and especially the ones made in Fudges’ bakery in Dorset.
Personally, I like the shortbread and lemon curd but the oat biccies with fruit and the almond ones are really smart.
So good in fact that I’m off to get another!

What a delight! Derby finally attract a decent name kit manufacturer after years of dodgy small name kits.
Adidas on a 5 year deal is the best we’ve had since Puma, which was the best since the 1970’s Umbro kits. Never was keen on the later Umbro kits as they were (a) associated with [...]

If your name is Bruce and you were involved in an altercation with Steven Bywater at the weekend, please could you walk to Belgium on your hands and not come back?
I don’t care if your dad is Bernard Cribbens you are an unpleasant person who needs to get a life.
And if you are the clown [...]
