Isn’t it strange how 24 hour news can actually deliver less news and more rumour/ opinion/ hypothesis than the ‘old’ new services did.
Watching Sky Sports News on Transfer Deadline Day makes you realise that reporters having nothing to report makes for dull TV, not made any better by being attractive ladies or unattractive men.
Watching a [...]

Magniers have a lot to answer for. Cider used to be the drink of Yokels, young folk, tramps, etc.
Now, with ice, it’s the drink for the Summer, even if we haven’t had one.
Then throw in Bulmers, Strongbow and a load of other brands and we have a surfeit of cider offerings in the supermarkets.
So [...]

Congratulations to Derby on failing to beat Blackpool in the Carling Cup.
Not content with throwing away the lead twice, the last time 15 seconds from the end of time, we then fail to beat them on penalties.
Total garbage, a record-low crowd and an embarassing defeat.
How much worse can this season get?
I suspect a lot. [...]

Well, if you can call a set of largely random ramblings a site.
I’ve added a couple of interesting blogs (if their authors ever get of their arses again and write owt) and a link to a mate’s business.

Apparently Subway are the biggest consumers of tomatoes on the planet.
But surely they must also be pressing for the biggest user of reformed meat in the world as well. When will they actually take the plunge and form or reform a turkey or pig from it’s constituent parts?
And how can they get away with [...]

Last year Blues were struggling and we made there season come alive. Last year we were poor.

It’s been a poor, if anticipated, start by The Rams. Bereft of ideas, formation, skill or control we were a poor second in the [...]

On the road between Aberyswyth and Cardigan there is a little place called Tanygroes.
In the middle, set back a bit so that it is difficult to see when heading South is the Emlyn Cafe.
£5 gets you a big breakfast (bacon, sausage, spuds, toms, mushrooms, eggs, fried bread, toast) and a pot of tea.
All fresh, all [...]

Just returned after a week camping.
Not recommended when the rain is coming down by the bath tub and the wind is blowing a gale.
But when the sun comes out it’s great.
Even managed to see a dolphin in New Quay harbour.
And the dual language thing makes it feel like you are somewhere other than the bit [...]

A newspaper carried a call from a senior police officer for the legal age for drinking to be increased to 21.
How this will improve matters I don’t know. Do people get prosecuted for under-age drinking? Is it enforceable? Certainly kids in the USA drink, or take drugs, under the age of 21 [...]

Two of the great pleasures in life are hunting around bookshops looking for anything and nothing and looking at maps trying to see where you are, where you aren;t and where you could be.
Google Earth is a great innovation and a third great pleasure.
So I’m now off to look for a cemetary that I saw [...]
