If I had read these blogs before I would NEVER have rented from this pikey wide boy. Firstly he rented me a car with no valid tax and then denied it and said the tax disc had ‘flown out of the window’ then the drivers side window didn’t work. Then said he would change the vehicle and didn’t contact me. I then decided to cancel my card as I realised on the contract that he hadn’t circled weekly payment card and could have been milking my account daily. When He eventually called and said he couldn’t take any money I asked him if I could set up a direct debit into his account as I was uncomfortable with the set up. He refused and then said we should call it a day. I agreed and left the keys and the car at a neighbours for him to collect. He collected the car one hour later, drove it back to his depot and then called me four hours later and said I had damaged the car and he had photos to prove it. He did not give me an inventory of the staus of the vehicle when I hired it and consequently I did not sign anything. He does this on a regular basis by all accounts. I had a congestion charge ticket whilst I had the car and he called me this morning to say it was 180 pounds, this was supposedly for one day! I said he could take the payment after he sent the ticket to me from my deposit. He then said I had no deposit as I had done 300 pounds worth of damage to the car. This guy is the greediest fat slob I have ever met. I won’t be bullied by him and have informed the police of his tactics. He then said he would ‘get the baillifs’. I have seen a solicitor and taken notes of all these complaints. If he takes this matter any further he will be suprised at the can of worms it will open!

I can honestly say I was a victim of Darren and Terry.

As somebody mentioned earlier in the thread, it could be a great idea if run by honest people. Unfortunately for all of us who were ripped off, it isn’t.

Fortunately for me, I had all my money returned by HSBC but for those who haven’t, I sympathise. If it is of any consolation though, they will soon be receiving their comeuppance thanks to Trading Standards.

Well I posted your comments and you raised some issues. I responded because I can. In one post you don’t work for rent a banger, in another it is your business. You post customer comments and employees comment.

It’s a blog. It’s a place for me to write irrelevant nonsense and the stuff that crosses my mind. I posted one comment about the car I saw on the M1. Others posted about the company. I get my doubts when a customer service director from Malaysia posts using the same IP and email as you.

Anyway, i will just delete any comments from the same IP addresses if you like as that make you happy. I hope your business does well and you give excellent customer service. I really hope you do.

well if you were really not bothered then why are u repliying to everything we say, i reiterate that we have many satisfied customers who use our quality services. eg the police use our services for undercover operations. gary linekar has used our service. we have many directors and employees

thanks for the response. So all of the comments are from happy customers? Why not say so at the time? It would give a better impression.

As I said at the start I saw what I saw. No comment on service or anything else. Maybe some are from competitors who knows?

I doubt the one from trading standards is but you never know. Anyway, post away with satisfied comments but make it clear that they are from satisfied customers or it looks strange at best or suspicious at worst.

The thing is I’m not really bothered. I posted one comment and the floodgates opened. No problem from my point of view. I doubt I’ll use your service anytime soon.

Can I ask one thing though. Are you an employee or director or not? And if so, wouldn’t it be better to have been upfront before hand?

The sponsoRship opportunity still exists.

Not cheap or perfect but for a grand I’d have a banner for you

we do not work for rent a wreck full stop.
the writings we were putting up were from geniune people who wanted us to write up their honest reviews. you have made false allegations as NONE of the reviews was from rent a wreck but from geniune people. Some of the bad reviews written on this website are from our competitors we know that for sure!!! As the saying goes any advertising is good advertising. For all the questionable reviews we have many customers who are very satisfied we our service. think about it if you hads a good experience with a company why would you bother writing down a review, it would only be if you had a bad experience, we have many regular customers who are pleased with our service and think RENTABANGER when they want to hire a car.

The blog is irrelevant because it’s about stuff I see. I didn’t and won’t post an opinion about a service I haven’t used.

Other people posted negative stuff based on their experiences. Fair enough. If you want to tell us of good service then do but be honest. Do you work for rent a wreck or not?

Are you one person or lots of people at one address?

Just be honest!
