Derby County had a thoroughly miserable season last year. A disaster from start to finish, punctuated by poor signings, managerial change, ownership transfer, defeat, humiliation and a front page story about the new gaffer’s ‘home movie’ skills.

Well, Derby are relegated so we’ll play Forest next season.
But we avoid Leicester as they have got themselves relegated.
So, all in all things could be much worse.
Now we just need Leeds to miss out, Rangers to implode and Chelsea to blow things at the last minute and the result will be almost bearable.

Sat in The Dublin Inn in Hannover settled down to watch the Champions League semi-final second leg. Just waiting for mates to turn up for the second half and we’re away!

German TV crashes into football rather than making a massive event. It also forces the ‘experts’ outside like the fans.
And then instead of analysing the game for 15 minutes over half time they go to the news and then chat about the game for a couple of minutes before kick off.

Strange to say that Derby losing 0-1 against Man U also warrants a warm feeling. Defeat is normally bitter but not conceding 6 - 8 goals kind of gives me hope.
How sad is that?
